What is Edelrid Bulletproof technology?
It features a stainless steel insert integrated into the apex of the aluminum carabiner, right where the rope causes the most friction. This prevents sharp edges caused by wear and significantly extends the lifespan of both the carabiner and your ropes.
How does the Edelrid Ohm system work?
The Ohm system attaches to the first bolt in the safety chain. In the event of a fall, it increases rope friction to reduce the pulling force on a lighter belayer, without hindering rope pay-out while climbing.
What is the lifespan of an Edelrid rope?
The theoretical maximum lifespan is 14 years (4 years of storage + 10 years of occasional use). In the event of intensive use or a severe fall, the rope must be inspected and replaced if the core is damaged.
