How does it work?

At Montaz, bootfitting is carried out in several ways to perfectly match your needs. Our experts work on your boots and shells to make them as comfortable as possible while ensuring proper ski performance.

Bootfitting includes all the necessary adjustments :

• Shell stretching: We adjust the plastic shell so it perfectly follows the contours of your foot, eliminating pressure points. Different areas can be modified depending on where you feel discomfort.
• Shell canting/shimming: This method ensures optimal support of your foot inside the boot, guaranteeing a more enjoyable skiing experience.
• Liner heat-molding: We customize the liner in the oven for unmatched comfort, adapting it precisely to your shape.

• Boot Doc Scanner

In our La Ravoire store, we use the Boot Doc 3D scanner to analyze your feet and quickly determine the boots best suited to your morphology.

• Cramps or pain under the foot?

Choose pre-formed or thermoformed insoles. They reposition your foot in the shoe, improving the precision of your riding.

• Shin pain? 

Pre-molded insoles can help realign your shin! If the pain persists, consider gel shin guards to relieve pressure.

• Pain in the malleoli? 

Again, use an insole that matches your arch to reposition your malleolus. If this is not enough, Montaz can reshape the shoe at the malleoli using special tools.

• Cold feet or tingling in the foot? 

These symptoms may indicate that the shell is too narrow. We can enlarge the shell to improve blood circulation. If you suffer from circulation problems, consider heated insoles to keep your feet warm. Don't forget to dry your boots after each outing!
